Community links

Joining the WhatsApp community or the chapter on the ISC2 Chapters platform, and registering for events there, happens on those services under their own privacy policies. In WhatsApp, your name and phone number can be visible to other group members and administrators under WhatsApp’s rules. The chapter does not collect anything through this website when you follow these links.

Information collected automatically

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As the hosting and network provider, Cloudflare processes technical request data (such as your IP address and browser details) to deliver pages and keep the site secure. The website itself does not set cookies or store anything in your browser.

Analytics

The website does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

The newsletter form: cookies and third-party requests

The newsletter form on the homepage is provided by Beehiiv and is loaded only when you scroll close to it. Once it loads, Beehiiv receives your browser details (such as your IP address) even if you do not subscribe. In our tests it also set cookies on beehiiv.com, including Cloudflare and PerimeterX bot-protection cookies, and its form made requests to Google Tag Manager, PerimeterX, Cloudflare Insights (analytics) and Google Fonts. These requests come from inside Beehiiv’s form, not from this website. If you do not scroll to the newsletter section, none of this happens.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link that Beehiiv provides in the newsletter emails.

How we use and keep information

The chapter uses what you submit only for the purpose you submitted it for, as described above. We keep it for as long as that purpose requires (for example while an application or inquiry is being handled, or until you unsubscribe from the newsletter). When it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to delete it, we will delete it unless applicable legal requirements or a legitimate retention obligation require or allow us to keep it. Deletion is not automatic, and this notice does not set a fixed timeline.

The providers named above process your information for the chapter under their own terms and privacy policies, which also apply to you.

Your choices and requests

Everything on this website can be read without giving any personal information, and every form or service is optional. You can ask the chapter for access to the personal information it holds about you, ask it to correct that information, or ask it to delete it. The chapter receives these requests at the email address below and will handle them in line with applicable legal requirements; deletion and other requests are subject to those requirements and to any legitimate retention obligations. You can also contact the providers directly about data they hold.
