Swinburne Vietnam and ISC2 Ho Chi Minh Chapter Sign Memorandum of Understanding
Ha Noi, September 18, 2024 – Swinburne Vietnam Alliance Program and the ISC2 Ho Chi Minh Chapter are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering collaboration and promoting excellence in education, cybersecurity, and professional development.
This partnership marks a significant step towards advancing cybersecurity awareness and education in Vietnam, as both institutions will work together to develop academic links, collaborative initiatives, and training programs in the field of cybersecurity. The MoU was signed by Truong Cong Duan, Head of the Academic Department of Swinburne Vietnam, and Tom Tran, President of ISC2 Ho Chi Minh Chapter.
Key Areas of Collaboration:
- Research and Development: Collaborative efforts in research, teaching, and learning to address shared challenges in cybersecurity.
- Academic Resources: Exchange of educational materials and publications to enhance knowledge and promote best practices.
- Internship Programs: Development of student internship programs, giving students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the cybersecurity industry.
- Short-term Academic Projects: Identification and development of academic programs and projects that will benefit both institutions and contribute to the professional growth of students and industry experts.
- Knowledge Sharing: Regular communication and knowledge exchange between professionals and academics to ensure the most current insights are being shared.
This MoU represents a formal commitment between Swinburne Vietnam and ISC2 Ho Chi Minh Chapter to work collaboratively over the next five years. It also emphasizes the importance of academic and professional collaboration in addressing global cybersecurity challenges, providing students and professionals with opportunities to engage in cutting-edge research and professional development.
